Located on Bédard Street, in Gatineau, this 10-storey residential building stands out for its two-part volume, which blends harmoniously with the morphology of neighboring buildings. Situated between the two volumes, the central circulation area creates a corridor with visual openings at each end, thereby reinforcing the connection between the interior spaces and their environment.
The architectural concept highlights a shift in volumes, each interacting with its immediate context. On the city side, the orthogonal language dominates and reflects the surrounding urban fabric. On the opposite side, walkways open onto the park, inviting residents to contemplate the horizon and enjoy the natural landscape to the fullest. This project thus offers an architecture that balances residential density and quality of life, placing the relationship between city and nature at the heart of the design.
